Mind Matters Preconference: Brain Injury Basics

Brain Injury Basics is recommended for direct care providers to individuals with brain injury. To take this training and receive official certification from NDBIN, participants must attend the full day training and complete the training evaluation and quiz with 80% accuracy. The quiz is optional, you may take this training and not the quiz if you’d like!

This training is based on an interactive approach that will provide direct care staff, peer support specialists, and caregivers of individuals with brain injury a general knowledge of brain injury and what that means for the individuals they serve, practical techniques for handling difficult behaviors of individuals with brain injury as well as building rapport for the individuals within their care.

A binder of helpful information will be provided for you. Lunch will be on your own. Please come ready to have fun and ask questions that may pertain to work you do daily as staff and caregivers.
