Neuropsychology
Neuropsychology is a sub-specialty of psychology that specializes in the assessment and treatment of patients with brain injury or disease. What distinguishes a clinical neuropsychologist from other clinical psychologists is knowledge of the brain, including an understanding of areas such as neuroanatomy and neurological disease. A neuropsychological exam made be beneficial following a brain injury to assist in treatment and rehabilitation.
