Advanced Neuro-Vision Systems, LLC is a state-of-the art research-based visual assessment, rehabilitation and training program intended to help restore neurological function of the visual system following mild traumatic brain injury as well as to improve visual performance of individuals with suboptimal visual function. This may include persons with amblyopia, learning-related vision problems, neurodegenerative diseases, developmental disorders, and athletes. Using the science behind perceptual and motor learning, a proprietary protocol of visual, cognitive and sensorimotor training techniques is intended to stimulate neuroplasticity in the brain beginning at the level of the visual cortex and encompassing areas of the brain important for working memory, decision-making and coordinated motor responses.

Carly Endres is an outreach coordinator for the North Dakota Brain Injury Network (NDBIN) at the Center for Rural Health (CRH) at the University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine & Health Sciences. In this position, Carly works on developing, implementing, and managing program initiatives for NDBIN, as well as developing, promoting, and implementing NDBIN educational activities. Carly previously worked with Grand Forks Public Schools as a Special Education strategist in the Intellectual Disabilities Program at Schroeder Middle School. Originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota, Carly earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education and master's degree in special education at UND.

Dakota Alpha is a 20 bed residential facility, licensed as a Skilled Nursing Facility, serving individuals with brain injuries or physical disabilities located in Mandan, ND. We have 9 beds licensed for individuals with brain injuries needing long-term placement and 11 beds licensed for individuals needing transitional rehab services. Transitional services mean the length of stay is limited and usually lasts between two months and two years. Dakota Alpha offers physical, occupational, and speech therapies, independent living skills training, cooking instruction, social services, recreational activities, and dietary services. We are staffed 24 hours a day by professional nursing staff. Services are provided under the supervision of a consultant medical doctor, psychologist, and other community consultants.

Dakota Pointe is a 10 bed residential facility, licenses as a Basic Care Facility, that provides individuals who have a brain injury with a home-like atmosphere in Mandan, ND. With trained staff on duty 24 hours a day, the program is designed to provide structure and to creatively meet the needs of each individual by providing him/her the opportunity to achieve their highest level of independence. He/she will work on a variety of daily living skills which include cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, personal hygiene, setting up transportation, and acquiring work or volunteer work. The individual will also work on the self-esteem and attend support groups focusing on brain injuries. Each resident has a private room and will have access to a large exercise room, activity room, and a spacious open area that includes a kitchen, dining room, and living room.

Minot State hosts the only full range speech-language pathology clinic in Western North Dakota. Nan has gained extensive experience and specialized training in the subacute, acute, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, and private practice settings. Currently, she is both owner and treating therapist at Onword Therapy, a private practice in Fargo, North Dakota. Nan enjoys working with high-level cognitive and communication needs in individuals with mild TBI, post-concussive symptoms, stroke, ADHD, and executive functioning challenges. She considers it an honor and privilege to help her patients get back to work/school/home and reach goals of higher function, independence, and efficiency. Nan is a regional leader both in brain injury and in her profession.
