Survivors of Brain Injury

There are opportunities for survivors of brain injury to have their voices heard. One opportunity is a network called Brain Injury Survivor Opportunity Network (BISON).

Brain Injury Survivor Opportunity Network (BISON)

Brain Injury Survivor Opportunity Network Are you a survivor ready to use your lived experience to educate the public, share stories, and build community understanding across North Dakota? Then the BISON might be right for you. We are a statewide community of brain injury survivors who come together to connect, encourage one another, and take active steps to raise public awareness.

What Is BISON?

A place for members to come together monthly to:

  • Develop Your Story: Learn how to effectively use your lived experience to educate and inspire others.
  • Share Experiences: Connect with other survivors to build a stronger public voice.
  • Get Involved: Explore creative ways to spark conversations in local communities.
  • Improve Awareness: Educate North Dakota communities about brain injuries.
  • Advocate for Change: Lend your voice to efforts that influence policy, funding, and community support for people with brain injuries.

Is BISON for You?

BISON is open to anyone with a brain injury who is ready to make a difference in their community. Family members may participate if representing someone with a brain injury who cannot attend themselves. This network is designed for those who want to take action and increase public understanding.
