Cognitive rehabilitation is a therapeutic approach designed to improve cognitive functioning after a brain injury. It includes an assembly of therapy methods that retrain or reduce problems caused by deficits in attention, visual processing, language, memory, reasoning, problem solving and executive functions.

Services are provided by graduate and senior-level students under the direction of faculty who specialize in the treatment of communication and swallowing disorders from pediatrics to geriatrics. All faculty hold the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and are fully licensed by the State of North Dakota. A full range of prevention, assessment, and intervention services are offered.
