North Dakota Association for the Disabled (NDAD) is a non-profit charitable organization focused on helping people with a wide range of health challenges in North Dakota. NDAD's goal is to relieve the financial burden of people in North Dakota through direct financial assistance for prescription medications, medical equipment or supplies, and medical travel. The six offices across the state also offer healthcare equipment loans, adaptive recreation resources, and information, referral and advocacy services.

Northwest Behavioral Health Clinic - Region 1, in Williston, is one of eight regional behavioral health clinics within North Dakota Health and Human Services. The clinic provides community-based behavioral health services to residents in Divide, McKenzie, and Williams counties, the Trenton Indian Service Area and part of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation (Three Affiliated Tribes). This 6,100 square mile area is home to about 50,570 people.

How it works: Individuals walk-in and tell staff they want to be assessed for a behavioral health need. They meet with a triage specialist and the business office. They are connected to services. People with acute, severe symptoms are served right away. Others may be served within one to several days or may be referred to other community behavioral health service providers.
