Mychal Cook

Mychal Cook Mychal Cook is a peer support specialist with the Center for Rural Health (CRH) at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Grand Forks.

Mychal works with the North Dakota Brain Injury Network, where she provides peer support for brain injury survivors. In this role, she facilitates connections between survivors, families, and community resources; collaborates with probation and parole officers to support justice-involved individuals with brain injuries; and advocates for brain injury survivors and justice reform at the community and state level. Before joining CRH, Mychal worked as a care coordinator at United Way of Dickinson.

Originally from Dickinson, Mychal is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology from Dickinson State University. She also serves as the secretary for the board of directors for both The Beginning Project and the Southwest North Dakota Alano Club, where she works to create recovery-friendly spaces and opportunities for healing in her community.
